32 year old Columbia Rae Grier is the younger sister of coffee shop owner Vincent Grier. It’s her cakes that are served on the menu and they are phenomenal.
Baking as long as she can remember being alive, she learned everything from her immensely talented grandmother. She would shadow her “Nanni” and often, duplicate what she’d bake. As a result, baking excellence became apart of her DNA. When her older brother asked her to bake for his coffee shop, she was more than happy to oblige him. Now, their small batch creations are very much in demand around BT.
Columbia, (so named because her parents loved watching episodes of the television show “Columbo” while her mother was carrying her,) has a huge secret that she’s been trying to hide for quite awhile. She is head-over-heels in love with her brother’s brother-in-law, but she’s afraid to let anyone know it. Every time she is around Najee, she feels flush with hormones and heat. She feels like she is baking in the oven right next to her cakes and there’s nothing she can do.
Unwilling to embarrass her brother or to get rejected by her dream lover, she just watches him from afar, hoping that no one outs her.
